Everything is not 'alright'I pity the players that deny LOTRO is losing subscriptions and that 'everything is alright'!
I agree, the grouping tools and grouping incentive in this game is abysmal. A vocal majority of the forum crowd has treated grouping like a plague. Anyone who suggests more grouping content is treated with contempt and 90% of the time, they are told to "Go play another game."
I understand now why Turbine has abandoned Kinship tools and enhancements. This may actually cause players to group (gasp!). If LOTRO loses the screaming solo elitist snobs, LOTRO has nothing left. The social groupers have already been driven off.
It's a shame, other games have gotten this right. Easy grouping and rewarding payoffs for doing so.
Server populations are diminishing. Spin it all you like. Everything Turbine has done (actually not done) over the last 18 months demonstrates a company losing revenue, loss of sales, and customers.
Seriously, where would Turbine's sub numbers be without lifetime subscriptions?
