Tailoring and critical crafting materialsI'd like to know just WHY tailoring, among all the crafts, has such a shortage of critical materials.
My other crafters have such an abundance of critical materials available that they routinely utilize them for component production, which is a function that they were designed to be utilized for. My tailor rejoices whenever he can get hold of enough critical material just to make a single piece.
For example, my Expert Metalsmith utilizes dark brimstone, which can routinely be had at the AH for an average price of about 10 S apiece. My Expert Tailor, on the other hand, utilizes Pale Flax Fibre, which, when you can find it, sells at the AH for about 75 to 100 S apiece.
What happens then is that Light and Medium Armour end up costing the consumer 50-100% MORE at the same level as the corresponding Heavy Armour. And impossible to produce in any quantity. And not near as profitable to make.
Flax Fibres need to be more plentiful. Period.
